Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Garoutte. Ashely & Alexander were one of the many couples who's weddings were affected by Covid-19 (Ashley works in a hospital, so she's been working on the front lines of this from the start while also working to pivot their wedding plans), but they didn't let a worldwide pandemic get in their way of their love! Instead they chose to still get married on their original wedding date with a micro-wedding with just their parents, siblings and a few bridesmaids there in person. Although they weren't able to have the big wedding they were originally planning for, they were able to stream it virtually (after overcoming some technical difficulties... the power in the church went out right before their ceremony, due to a heavy rain storm.... so yeah, they truly defied all the odds this year to get married!) for all of their loved ones at home to witness. It was a truly special, intimate and emotional ceremony... you could feel the love, even those watching from 1000 miles away, I'm sure would agree!
After their ceremony, the rain thankfully cleared up and it turned into a beautiful day. We went to Franklin Square Park in Syracuse, NY for some bride and groom pictures and plenty of family pics with their sweet fur baby Remi. Remi was decked out in a flower collar and was so excited for her mom & dad! We of course had to end the session with a little celebration by popping a bottle of champagne!
And guess what... It's not over yet. We get celebrate Ashley and Alexander again next year, for their big wedding reception and I can'tttt wait! Ashley & Alexander have truly been the best couple to work with and the fact that we get to do it all over again next year makes me so SO happy! I told Ashley she's so lucky that she gets to wear her wedding dress twice, that's every brides dream! Congratulations to this sweet couple!
