Amanda & Steven's Wedding | The Cannery, Vernon, NY

Amanda & Steven had the most beautiful summer wedding at The Cannery in Vernon, NY! I might be a bit biased, because this is where I got married, but The Cannery is one of my favorite venues to shoot at! This was a very long awaited wedding, as Amanda & Steven had to reschedule their wedding 5 times, due to the pandemic but it was absolutely worth the wait! Every detail of their industrial barn wedding was absolutely breathtaking! Amanda & Steven shared a very special first look right outside the main doors of The Cannery. They had a beautiful ceremony at the outdoor ceremony site at The Cannery and a super lively reception, with a lot of dancing, laughter and good music! Wishing nothing but lots of love and happiness for many years to come to the new Mr. & Mrs. Childress!

Throughout our time working together, I loved learning more about Amanda & Steven and their love story! Here's what I learned:

How did you meet?

Amanda: "We met online, 2 times actually about a year apart. The second time he asked me would we actually meet and I said, if you ask me out on a date!"

Amanda, what made you fall in love with Steven ? What do you love most about him?

Amanda: "He is extremely caring and always makes sure I am happy before anything else."

Steven, what made you fall in love with Amanda What do you love most about her?

Steven: "Her patience and ability to except me for who I am plus she’s the kindest person I've ever met oh and she’s got my back"

How did you get engaged?

Amanda: "We spent the night at home, made dinner and then right before bed he came out and surprised me with the ring." Steven: "We had dinner at home and I waited until right before bed to propose."

What was your favorite part of planning your wedding? Least favorite?

Amanda: "My favorite part was getting to spend time with my bridal party. My least favorite part was having to change our date 5 times."

Steven: "Favorite part was that Amanda did most of the planning. Least favorite was making sure all of the guys were prepared for the weekend."

What was your favorite part about your wedding day?

Amanda: "Seeing Steve for the first time."

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Steven: "Seeing how happy everyone was."

What advice would you give to engaged couples?

Amanda & Steven: "Don’t stress, enjoy the day it goes by fast and always make decisions together."
