I had the best time with Danielle & Richard, exploring the city of Rome, NY for their engagement session. Who knew there were so many cool spots and hidden gems right in the little city of Rome??
I loved getting to know more about Danielle & Richard and their love story! Here's what I learned:
How did you meet?
Danielle's friend said she had a coworker that would be her type. She gave her number to him for Danielle and when he never reached out she used a little liquid courage to make the first move on NYE 2017. Richard had someone at work that said she had someone good for him. Then, he never reached out because he wasn’t sure if he was ready. But then said girl (Danielle) reached out to him & groom said “as they say the rest is history”.
What was your first date?
Richard: "We went to a BBQ restaurant and I couldn’t eat because I downed a monster and was full and nervous."
Danielle: "We went to limp lizard and had BBQ. It was a snow storm and I was nervous too. We had a great time and I didn’t want it to end."
Do you have a favorite date you've ever been on together?
Danielle: "My favorite date would be summer 2019 concerts, I think. All of them."
Richard: "My favorite date was our second date-we went bowling. It was so fun...it's where we took our first picture together."
Danielle, What made you fall in love with Richard? What do you love the most about him?
Danielle: "The way he was with his kids and how he made me feel like I was the most important thing in the world. I also love how important his family is to him."
Richard, What made you fall in love with Danielle? What do you love the most about her?
Richard: "She was pretty and nice and she was excited about the future which was attractive. We connected on many levels."
How did you get engaged?
Danielle: "It was a huge surprise. Richard proposed at Friendsgiving which we hosted at our townhome. The kids were in on it and all 25+ people that were at our home were in on it. Richard asked my parents for their permission and they said yes. He bought the ring in August and managed to keep the engagement secret until November. With all our closest friends present the kids began a toast to the whole group thanking them for coming to Friendsgiving, and then Richard got down on one knee and thanked me for being in his life and making the family whole. He asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I cried so hard I couldn’t see the ring through my tears... I was SHOCKED and the only ones who didn’t know were my three best friends. It was a surprise to them too."
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
"We are most looking forward to having both of our families all in one place in celebration and enjoying themselves."
I am certainly excited for Danielle & Richard's wedding TODAY at The Cannery in Vernon, NY!
