This past weekend, I had the incredible honor of capturing Joslynn and Mick's wedding at the stunning Hayloft on the Arch in Vernon Center, New York. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
The day started at Fairfield Inn & Suites in Verona, where both Joslynn and Mick were getting ready. There was a mix of nerves and excitement in the air, but Mick’s ear-to-ear smile and Joslynn’s radiant glow were undeniable. After final touches, we headed to the venue for one of the most anticipated moments of the day—the first look.
Down by the chapel at Hayloft on the Arch, Mick stood eagerly waiting as Joslynn approached. When they saw each other, they immediately wrapped each other in a long, sweet embrace. It was a beautiful and intimate moment that I felt privileged to capture. The emotions were real, with a few tears shed and plenty of smiles shared.
The wedding party was a blast to work with—so much fun and full of energy. During portraits, there were plenty of laughs, and even the youngest flower girl, who wasn’t too sure about her role at first, managed to sneak in some smiles and giggles, especially when cuddling up to the groom.
After capturing family portraits, it was time to head back to the venue for the ceremony. Joslynn walked down the aisle with grace, and the ceremony was everything you could hope for—short, sweet, and filled with joy. As Joslynn and Mick were pronounced husband and wife, their smiles lit up the entire room. The newlyweds walked back down the aisle to the cheers of their guests, officially starting their new chapter together.
The cocktail hour was lively, with guests mingling outside, playing lawn games, and enjoying drinks under the open sky. As the sun began to set, everyone moved inside for the reception. Joslynn and Mick were announced with enthusiasm, and their first dance was nothing short of magical. Mick twirled Joslynn around in a romantic flourish that had all the guests on their feet, clapping and cheering.
The reception was a whirlwind of high energy and dancing. But before the party took over, guests were treated to an incredible meal by Michael’s Fine Food. The cake and desserts were not only visually stunning but also delicious, accompanied by a fun popcorn bar that added a playful touch. The photo booth was a hit, with guests capturing silly and sweet moments throughout the night.
One of the most unique and memorable touches of the evening was the audio guestbook by After the Tone. Instead of a traditional guestbook, guests picked up a vintage phone and left a message after the tone. It’s such a cool and sentimental keepsake for Joslynn and Mick to cherish for years to come.
We ended the night with some stunning night portraits under the very arch where they had exchanged vows earlier in the day. Illuminated against the dark sky, it was a picture-perfect way to conclude their wedding day.
